In his native Alsace, he served as Director of Caisse de Cr\u00e9dit Mutuel Mulhouse-Europe and Head of Commitments for the Sud-Alsace Franche-Comt\u00e9 regional division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2004, he became Chief Executive Officer of F\u00e9d\u00e9ration du Cr\u00e9dit Mutuel \u00cele-de-France. He was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration Nationale du Cr\u00e9dit Mutuel in 2010, then of Cr\u00e9dit Industriel &amp; Commercial (CIC) in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From June 2017 to April 2024, Daniel Baal headed Cr\u00e9dit Mutuel Alliance F\u00e9d\u00e9rale and CIC, alongside Chairman Nicolas Th\u00e9ry. He was also Chief Executive Officer of F\u00e9d\u00e9ration du Cr\u00e9dit Mutuel Centre Est Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On January 1, 2024, Daniel Baal became Chairman of the Boards of Directors of CIC and the Banque F\u00e9d\u00e9rative du Cr\u00e9dit Mutuel (BFCM). In April 2024, Daniel Baal became Chairman of Cr\u00e9dit Mutuel Alliance F\u00e9d\u00e9rale and Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration Nationale du Cr\u00e9dit Mutuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Daniel Baal <\/strong>has been Vice-Chairman of the FBF since September 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jean-Laurent Bonnaf\u00e9<\/strong>, Director and Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas, will become Vice-Chairman of the FBF and <strong>St\u00e9phane Dedeyan<\/strong>, Chairman of the Management Board of La Banque Postale, will remain Treasurer. The other members of the Executive Committee are: <strong>Olivier Gavalda<\/strong>, Chief Executive Officer of Cr\u00e9dit Agricole S.A., <strong>Slawomir Krupa<\/strong>, Chief Executive Officer of Soci\u00e9te G\u00e9n\u00e9rale Group, <strong>Nicolas Namias<\/strong>, Chairman of the Management Board of Groupe BPCE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Founded in 2001, the FBF represents the 320&nbsp;French and foreign banks that operate in France. It covers all banking and financial regulatory questions at the French, European and international level, as well as all subjects relating to banking\u2019s role in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daniel Baal, Chairman of the FBF as of September 1, 2025, commented as follows: <em>\u201cI warmly thank the Executive Committee of the French Banking Federation for its trust, and I commend the work of Slawomir Krupa, who has steadfastly championed the importance of our sector\u2019s competitiveness for the future of Europe.
