He succeeds Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Oud\u00e9a, Chief Executive Officer of Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Philippe Brassac is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l&#8217;Administration Economique and holds a master&#8217;s degree in mathematics &#8211; decision science. He joined Cr\u00e9dit Agricole in 1982 and spent his entire career at the company. He has held a variety of positions in the Regional Banks, as well as at the Caisse Nationale de Cr\u00e9dit Agricole. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Cr\u00e9dit Agricole S.A. since 2015. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jean-Laurent Bonnaf\u00e9, Director and Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas, becomes Vice-Chairman of the FBF and Nicolas Th\u00e9ry, Chairman of the Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration Nationale du Cr\u00e9dit Mutuel, remains treasurer.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are also members of the Executive Committee: Laurent Mignon, Chairman of the Management Board of Groupe BPCE, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Oud\u00e9a, Chief Executive Officer of Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale, and R\u00e9my Weber, Chairman of the Management Board of La Banque Postale, as the representative of the French Banking Association. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Founded in 2001, the FBF represents the 340 French and foreign banks which operate in France. It also has an office in Brussels. It covers all banking and financial regulatory questions at the French, European and international level, as well as all subjects relating to the bank&#8217;s role in the economy and in society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Banks actively finance the economy and therefore play a key role in terms of growth and employment.
