Accordingly, Mr Oud\u00e9a will succeed Fran\u00e7ois P\u00e9rol, Chairman of the Groupe BPCE Management board.\n<br\/>Philippe Brassac, Chief Executive Officer of Cr\u00e9dit Agricole SA, will become the FBF&#8217;s Vice-Chairman, while Michel Lucas, the Chairman of Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration Nationale du Cr\u00e9dit Mutuel, will remain the organisation&#8217;s Treasurer. The members of the Executive committee also include Jean-Laurent Bonnaf\u00e9, Director and Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas, Fran\u00e7ois P\u00e9rol, Chairman of the Groupe BPCE Management board and R\u00e9my Weber, Chairman of the Management board of Banque Postale, in his capacity as the French Banking Association&#8217;s (AFB) representative.\n<br\/>The FBF was founded in 2001, and represents all the French and foreign banks that operate in France. It is involved in all banking and financial issues at the French, European, and international levels, as well as in all issues relating to the role of banks in society. The FBF has representative offices in Brussels and Frankfurt.\n<br\/>The French banking sector, which employs 370,000 people, is one of France&#8217;s leading private employers. Banks finance the economy, and therefore play a key role in growth and employment in France.
